![]() My strawberry pie is made with seasonal strawberries and my Homemade Pie Crust, which I cut and lay as a lattice, giving you a beautiful peek-a-boo at those strawberries. It’s a lot easier, less time-consuming, and, to be honest, looks just the same! No one will have time to inspect your lattice anyway they’ll be too busy scooping up a slice! Instead of weaving a traditional lattice, I just placed two layers on top of each other. I made this strawberry pie a lattice pie to show off those fantastic, bubbling red berries-but it isn’t a traditional lattice, so don’t hit that back button yet! Strawberry season is here! And there are plenty of amazing desserts to be made (my strawberry rhubarb crisp, or my strawberry shortcake, to name a few) but have you ever had a strawberry pie?! The live workshop is on Thursday, March 11th, from 5:30pm – 7:00pm CT via Zoom. Kits must be picked up at the World of Whirlpool on Wednesday, March 10th between 4pm – 6pm CT. IMPORTANT: We cannot ship or deliver kits. Pie dough is surprisingly quick to make and easy to keep on hand, so we’ll also give you some ideas of what to do with your leftover dough from quiches to hand pies and more! We will put our pies in the oven towards the end of the workshop and they will need to bake for an hour. Our kit has everything you need to make it easy including a KitchenAid Pastry Blender to make perfect dough, a disposable aluminum pie plate and all the pre-measured ingredients you need for the filling and crust, including extra pie dough. ![]() You’ll also make a delicious, juicy fruit filling. ![]() ![]() We are getting ready to celebrate one of our favorite holidays of the year: Pi Day!
